The Iliad is all about the Trojan War. One of the main characters is King Agamemnon, King of Mycenae; leader of the Greeks.
King Agamemnon is the leader of the Greeks. He is has the characteristics of a true leader but he is a hard headed person. He is also a greedy person. There are some site that prove that he is a stubborn man. In Book II of The Iliad: The Debate of Achaians King Agamemnon said to Zeus, Athena, and Apollo that if he had ten councilors in the nation the city of King Priam rules will bow their head to him. He is debating and quarreling with Achilles when he said this to the Olympian God's. King Agamemnon in the first book of Iliad also have some proofs to prove him a hard headed king. In the book one of Iliad a priest approach King Agamemnon to talk to him and to ransom the priest's daughter. King Agamemnon did not accept the ransom and told to the priest to go away and his daughter will be his slave until she become old. King Agamemnon in the first book is very hard headed.
Today there are some people who are just like King Agamemnon. Here in our country there are some politician or leaders who are also stubborn. Politician who are corrupting and cheating in country are stubborn because when someone accused them about what they have done they don't have the guts to admit their mistake that they have done. Some of the politician here in our country doesn't listen to the people around them. Even their ideas are wrong and some corrected them they try to ignore and continue their thing. Receiving opinions from others is important because it makes your idea more effective. Sometimes we are also stubborn like King Agamemnon. Not only the leaders are stubborn but also us sometimes.
